*The Company having been entrusted with personal information, along with the entrusted business, shall use such information for the purpose of performance of the contract.

*Employee-related personal information
Human resources management, work management, payroll management, etc. shall be used for the purpose of employee management.

*Personal information of those interested in joining the company such as recruitment-related contact information, improvement of the Company's website (recruiting information) for recruitment purposes.

**Personal information related to all those who have contacted or visited the Company, such contact information shall be used for the purpose of dealing with inquiries in order to provide information, correspondence management, etc.

Safety Control Measures for Website Management

On the Company's website, when individuals fill-out forms online their personal information, we implement security measures using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) data communication encryption.

In addition, for ease of use of the website, there are cases when cookies are used, however, depending on the cookies, specific individuals cannot possibly be identified. (A cookie is a mechanism from the side of the website that writes files on the user's computer whenever a user enters information on a particular website)

Outsourcing of Personal Information

The personal information that has been provided to the Company are to be utilized for reasons of business facilitation, and to achieve this purpose, there are cases when it may be necessary to outsource to external parties only within the scope of its intended use. In such cases, we have established a set of criteria in selecting sub-contractors, as well as a signed agreement on the handling of personal information with the appropriate supervision.

Regarding Disclosure/Provision to a Third Party

Personal information shall not be disclosed or provided by the Company to a third party unless they fall under the following cases 1-5.

  • (1)If there is a consent of the person
  • (2)If there are laws and regulations that require disclosure/provision.
  • (3)In case the consent of the person in question is difficult to obtain, due to the necessity to protect property or preservation of human life.
  • (4)In case the consent of the person in question is difficult to obtain, due to the necessity to promote the healthy development of children and public health.
  • (5)In case cooperation between countries and local governments is necessary and after arrangement with the public affairs, obtaining the consent of the person in question is likely to hinder performance in the office. With regards to the use of personal information between group of companies, LAC group of companies have joint use of personal information.

About Personal Information Subject to Disclosure, Requests for Disclosure, and others

The Company will respond without delay the requesting if there is any "personal information subject to disclosure" regarding the person in question, (including representatives), or have any requests for further disclosures. The person in question, (including representatives) could make a request for below 1-3:

  • 1.) Disclosure of personal information held by the company, notification of the purpose of use.
  • 2.) Correction, addition and deletion of personal information held by the company.
  • 3.) Suspension of use of the personal information held by the company and suspension of deletion and provision to a third party.

For suspension of use, requesting regarding the handling of personal information, inquiries, complaints, counseling, please use the contact information.

Upon acceptance at the customer service, we would be happy to offer assistance for more information on the application format, requesting methods, disclosure and correction or deletion of personal information.

Once the documents have arrived, please fill out the form as indicated and please return together with the required documents such as identification card, requesting fee, etc.

2.Upon requesting for disclosure, submit in writing:

※1 The 「Identification Documents of the Claimant」, 「Identification Documents of the Agent」refer to the following:
1) Driver's License, Passport, Health Insurance Card, Pension Book, or any document that can verify the current address as indicated on the Residence Card.
2) A copy of the Residence Card acquired within the past 6 months.

※2 「In order to verify the power of attorney of the legal agent 」refers to the following:
1) In case of a legal representative, a copy of the Family Register and the Referee statement.
2) In the case of an agent, the claimant's registered seal, a Power of Attorney and the Seal Registration Certificate acquired within the past 3 months.

3.Request for Disclosure Fees

Regarding requests for disclosure of personal information for the purpose of notification, 1,000 Yen (tax included) shall be charge per request. Regarding other requests, no fees will be charged. Together with the request documents, please enclose 1,000 Yen worth of postal money order.

4.How to Answer Disclosure Request

When the claimant described in the invoice addressed to the person in question 「Claimant's Limited Postal」 wishes further answers, it should be noted that, from the start of the disclosure process, until reply is sent, it will take at least two weeks.

In addition, if there is a situation for some reason due to the Company's business or in case there is congestion in the customer service, please acknowledge beforehand that responses may be delayed.

5.Request for disclosure along with the intended use of the acquired personal information

The request for disclosure along with the acquired personal information shall be handled only to the extent necessary within the scope of its intended use. Disclosed and corrected personal information and invoices shall be filed and stored for 5 years and shall be discarded in an appropriate manner.

In addition, after storage for 3 years, identification documents will be discarded in an appropriate manner.

6.Retained Personal Information for Non-Disclosure Reasons

Depending on the contents of your request, there are cases when we have the non-disclosure option whether in whole or in part. If non-disclosure has been decided, you will be notified with a statement to that effect, stating the reasons for non-disclosure. In addition, please take note that you will still be charged the prescribed fee even in case of non-disclosure.

  • (3)Handling products and services related to purchasing activities (providing information such as orders and purchase orders , etc.)
  • (4)Handling products and services related to market research such as surveys, etc.
  • (5)Prize awards and campaign management
  • (6)Seminars, events and contests management

■About Personal Information Subject to Disclosure

As written in the JISQ15001:2006 3.4.4.1 personal information subject to disclosure is defined as follows: Personal information that makes up the collection of systematically arranged information obtained from the person so operators could retrieved such information with the use of a computer organized according to rules, classified, table of contents, index, signs, in order for operators to easily search for a specific personal information, also offering any corrections of content, additions or deletions, suspension of usage, correspondence to requests to delete, or to suspend provision to third parties.

However, the any of the following (1-4) does not apply to personal information being subject to disclosure. Since we are not able to respond to your requests for disclosure, we would appreciate your understanding in advance.

  • (1) Cases in which the life, body, or property of a person or a third party might be threatened if presence or absence of the personal data concerned is revealed.
  • (2) Cases in which illegal or unjust acts might be prompted or triggered if the presence or absence of the personal data concerned is revealed.
  • (3) Cases in which national security might be undermined, mutual trust with foreign countries or international organizations might be damaged, or disadvantages when negotiating with other countries or international organizations might be brought about if the presence or absence of the personal data concerned is revealed
  • (4) Cases in which crime prevention, control, investigation or other maintenance of public safety and order might be impeded if the presence or absence of the personal data concerned is revealed.
