LAC Supports Technical Cooperation for Security Capacity Building in ASEAN Member Countries

～Offer development and provision of practical hands-on training to “Japan-ASEAN Cybersecurity Capability Building Centre”～

LAC Co., Ltd. offers support for the development of exercise programs and training on Cybersecurity to ASEAN Japan Cybersecurity Capacity Building Center (AJCCB) (hereinafter referred to as "the Center") which Thai Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA) has recently launched. This program is being commissioned by NEC Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "NEC") through NEC Corporation Ltd. (Thailand), the local subsidiary of NEC.

With the remarkable market growth in the ASEAN region, safety measures are essential in the information systems infrastructure that supports economic development. In order to cope with increasing cyber threats, developing high-quality human resources is an urgent matter and practical hands-on training opportunities are required.

In this regard, this initiative is carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in Japan as a part of the Japan ASEAN Integration Fund 2.0 (JAIF), with the purpose of cultivating cybersecurity human resources among the governments of the ASEAN member countries and critical infrastructure industries.

At this center, in combination with development support, LAC shall dispatch instructors with the required professional skills to provide two training courses on "Network Forensics Training" and "Malware Analysis Training" offered by NEC.

This training consists of practical knowledge based on real-time threat analysis conducted at JSOC, Japan's largest security monitoring center operated by LAC, including all the accumulated experience through our emergency response service.

The training is planned to be held a total of six times until May 2019 and around 150 people are expected to participate.

LAC shall continue to keep an eye on the changing times and listen to customers' requests by playing our part in the development of the ASEAN region and contribute to the growth of Japan.
